Tea as a tool for intentional connection
The 4 Principles of Cha Dao "The Way of Tea"
Thrifty • Harmony • Respect • Aestheticism
Cha Dao is an ancient Chinese practice that has been used since its discovery by the Daoists and Sages as a form of medicine - a way to cultivate awakened presence, while sustaining long states of meditation.
Gong (kung)- Achievement or Merit | Fu (foo) - Man
Human Achievement, The art of doing something well
Gong Fu Cha is a Chinese tea ceremony (Cha Dao) involving the ritualized preparation and presentation of tea. The implication is that time, dedication and effort will produce an ultimate tea experience.
Gong Fu Cha has become a type of social revolution in different communities across the country. It creates a space for intentional connection as people are called to be present with the preparation, pouring and drinking of the tea. It creates a comfortable and intimate environment where we are invited to relax and connect. As human beings we often times need an excuse to come together, an experience to share in order to gather.
Gong Fu Cha has proven to serve this need in a healthier and more present way.
Gong Fu Cha has been a ritual in my life since I was first introduced to it 3 years ago. I have seen the positive transformational shifts it brings to social experiences and the meditative / trance properties it has as an personal practice.
I am passionate about bringing this style tea ceremony to all different types of gatherings - retreats, parties, events, small gatherings or circles.
